Photo of B1-B showing Black Hills to the west.  As one of our Group says who forwarded the photo, "The high point on the horizon in the background (on the right hand side) is the summit of Harney Peak, where I proposed to [wife] in 1994.
We see (or hear) these guys almost every day. Aircraft in flight has a targeting pod on its ventral side; nose gear door is closing.  He's probably doing touch-and-goes. Sometimes I will watch this type of activity from Cabela's parking lot when I'm over there.
I have read that B-1Bs are the loudest aircraft in the inventory. I regularly hear them taking off from the house. We live 22 miles WSW of the base. Thrust augmentation is the sound of freedom."
