A heads up to volunteers about the upcoming WWII veteran's luncheon this year

I've got it scheduled for Wednesday, May 17th, again at the TREA Building and we would gather there at 9:00AM as always to set up for the 11:00AM start.

In most instances I only sent one e-mail to a household but, if you both have volunteered before consider this an invitation to you both.

You all know how much I appreciate your help and that there would be no way that I could pull this off without you!

If you can help again this year, just give me a return "Yes" and I'll put an "X" after your name/s.

We served 92 vets last year and fed around 250 people!

We lost 26 vets last year from my list that I know of and 3 so far this year but, I am picking up new names from time to time and if any of you know of WWII veterans who might not be on my mailing list, please let me know so that I might contact them. (Just got one this morning!).

I'm going to try to make it to every assisted living community this winter and will be putting up announcements in "key" places. Thought of churches this morning.

We might run into a parking problem this year as I was told we can't use the lot to the west of TREA anymore. Seems there is a disagreement  between parties.

I have your suggestions from last year and there will some changes made in some instances.

If you have any questions or know of someone who would like to help, give me their name and I'll contact them.

I'll keep in touch as the day grows closer. Until then, stay warm,
